Factors that Determine the Cost of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- the patient's diagnosis or condition,
- if the patient has insurance that covers the specific diagnosis or condition,
- the type of insurance coverage (plan reimbursement),
- the effective date of the insurance coverage,
- the specific plan benefits of the insurance coverage: coinsurance percentage, calendar year deductible amount, what portion of the deductible has been met at time of treatment, and calendar out-of-pocket maximums including what portion of the out-of-pocket maximum has been met at time of treatment,
- the patient's commitment to the treatment,
- the patient's ability to pay.
Payment for your portion of the HBOT is expected at the time of service. We will work with you, your insurance company, and/or your health plan or group to facilitate the payment process; however, you are ultimately responsible for the cost of your hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
