Dr. Joyce Lu, MD
As the medical director for Bay Area Hyperbarics, her goals are to provide safe protocols for our patients so they may improve their clinical health with peace of mind. She consults with patients in her offices and also oversees treatments for patients with our Nurse Practitioners who are on site to provide direct clinical care.
Dr. Joyce Lu is a board certified Vascular Surgeon who is a bay area native, serving the region for a variety of medical conditions. Originally from Cupertino, she attended UCLA before moving to Washington D.C. to perform basic science research at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Lu obtained her medical degree from Albany Medical College where the longstanding tradition of its strong vascular surgery program captivated her desire to serve a patient population with strong needs and challenging medical issues. Dr. Lu is a graduate of the Spectrum Health Vascular Surgery Residency Program in Grand Rapids, MI where she was trained to treat the entire continuum of vascular issues.
